Established in 1639 and with a history of almost 380 years. Three campuses: Fukakusa and Omiya in Kyoto City, and Seta in Shiga Prefecture. 20,000 students enrolled in a total of 10Faculties, 10 Graduate Schools, and 1 Junior College. Our Omiya Campus houses buildings that have been designated as Important Cultural Treasures, as well as numerous precious documents which have been recognized as both Important Cultural Treasures and National Treasures. Every year, exchange students come to study at our university from approximately 139 Partner Institutions in 45countries across the globe. Japanese students live in the International Student Dormitories to support the students in their daily lives.
