As a hub of knowledge advancing together with the local community, our university deepens research and education that opens up the world's future, centered on the interrelationship with history regarding human beings and their culture, life and the environment, and the community and people's lives. We are building the university on the core concepts of exploring new ways of being for individuals and society from a glocal (Global & Local) perspective and creating a sustainable relationship between human life and ecosystems. Under this concept, in 2019 we established the Department of Washoku (Japanese Cuisine) Culture within the Faculty of Letters.
