YIC Gakuin Educational Foundation cultivates people who acquire specialized knowledge and skills and strive for self-improvement. At YIC Kyoto College of Automotive Engineering, in the Automobile Maintenance Department (2-year program) and the International Automobile Maintenance Department (3-year program), students obtain the Class-2 Automobile Mechanic (General) qualification, acquire basic knowledge, skills, and techniques of automobile maintenance, and aim for employment in the automotive industry. In the International IT Business Department (1-year program), students learn the basics of business and IT while studying Japanese, aiming for further study or employment. At YIC Kyoto Beauty College, in the International Hotel & Business Department (2-year program), students acquire knowledge of Kyoto culture, Japanese manners, the hotel industry, and business, aiming for employment in the tourism industry or at companies. At YIC, many international students are also enrolled in departments other than the above. As support for international students' studies, in addition to the YIC Tuition Reduction System for International Students (at enrollment only), living support is also provided.
