The Kyoto Institute of Design is located in Kyoto's Sakyo-ku close to Ginkaku-ji Temple. There are 6 courses available: Visual Design, Character Design, Comic Illustration, Interior Design, Fashion, and Handmade Studies. Students can have opportunities to work with companies as part of their studies. Our faculty members and employment support staff ensure to provide finely tuned supports to international students for their future university education and job hunting. We aim for cultivating high-level creators with great technical strength and a rich flow of ideas.

Entrance qualifications	・Examination for Japanese University:200 points or above ・Japan Language Proficiency Test:Above N2 BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test 400 or higher / on the condition of having been enrolled for one year or more at a Japanese-language institution designated by the Ministry of Justice, JPT Japanese Proficiency Test 525 or higher / on the same condition, J.TEST Practical Japanese Examination A–C level 600 or higher *Separately, there is a “Scholarship International Student Admission System” that exempts the interview/essay examination and the 150,000 yen admission fee.
