Vocational school

The Kyoto Institute of Design, located in Kyoto's Sakyo-ku close to Ginkaku-ji Temple, is a vocational school focused on design. As Kyoto's only comprehensive design school, we offer five courses to choose from including visual design, comic illustration, interior design, fashion & beauty and handmade design. Our homeroom system ensures students receive finely tuned support and provides international students with individualized assistance in terms of life in Kyoto, educational advancement and job hunting, providing an added layer of peace of mind. The school has access to a wide range of facilities that are also shared with Kyoto University of Art & Design located on the same campus. International students will have peace of mind knowing they have access to individualized support for living in Kyoto, obtaining their status of residence, educational advancement and finding a job post graduation.
